Online but can't sync with mtz or check for updates

My TZT3 is connected to wifi (I have tried two different networks - no issues connecting) but can't do online things like log in/out of mytimezero or check for updates - those options are grayed out in settings. What am I doing wrong?

Change when to connect setting to connect when necessary, not at startup. Seems counterintuitive, but that is what worked for me.

Checking for software updates and doing a wifi update is not yet possible. They say after going to v3 software (TZT3) or v8 software (TZT2) that it will become possible. Currently software updates must be done by media (USB - TZT3) (MicroSD and USB - TZT2) until the get that wifi update feature working. Current software for TZT3 is v2 and available at the Furuno USA website and Furuno.com.
