FCV585 transducer

Got a "new" 585 and transducer 526TID-LTD/20 for thru hull installation. The transducer is listed in the "Accessory" section of Furuno's website. Does any one have experience with this setup? After reading other posts and instructions, is it also correct that this transducer does not need the MB1100 box? Thanks.

There is no need for the MB1100 matching box. The 10-pin plug on the transducer plugs directly into the FCV585.
