Hi,
Looking to learn more about the ss164-20 compatibility with tzt3. We have purchased a new boat and are struggling to work out ideal gain, clutter and other settings to mark bait fish and marlin when trolling between 6-10 knots. Water depth would be anywhere from 200 metres ( 100 fathoms ) - 400 metres (200 fathoms). We are only looking to scan roughly the first 125 meters (68 fathoms) of the water column.
It seems the transducer is placed correctly, the tilt is accurate for the boats deadrise and the initial set up between transducer wiring and Tztouch was done by Furuno in WA (Aus).
We have looked at selecting the right transducer in transducer settings, playing with gain, clutter, TVG, colour erase, picture advance and everything else etc. I know asking for the ideal settings would depend a lot on the boat, where the transducer is mounted and going over bait at the same time. However it is becoming very frustrating LOL. So I thought why not ask a great community for advice. A few settings from the guru's in the field which might be able to help us out, or just some tips, or further knowledge, here to learn as much as I can. Any information will be a massive help Thank you all so much.
