Question on zig-zag turns with the 711C, or other Furuno AP.

Assume you are trolling using the zig-zag function, and put the pilot into standby while bringing in fish. When resuming the troll, do you have to go through multiple steps to engage zig-zag? That is the way with Simrad AP44 pilot, which is inconvenient when going into standby 10-50 times a day.

Does Furuno have a simpler way to re-engage zig-zag?

Once you have your parameters in there it is only 2-3 steps if I recall to get back into the pattern. I haven't used that function in about 5 months so I am going off of memory, but I don't recall it being annoying at all to re-engage.
