new istallation

Hello everyone,

I'm preparing a 29ft center console with stepped hull. I will fish on depth of maximum 230ft, trolling, bottom fishing and jigging. The mold in the picture.
I'm not sure about the transducer to use and the installation. Both options need to be installed before the steps, as I understood. There is the Furuno 165T-B54 Bronze DFF3D Thru-Hull transducer and few pocket mount multi beam transducer options.

Which type and model would you recommend?

Also if I would have to modify the hull will have an impact on the ride of the boat?

So your plan is to install only a DFF3D B54 type and no other transducers? I think that hull is going to be very difficult due to the strikes. It doesn't look transducer friendly at all. Maybe @Deep Blue or @C-Bass has some suggestions.

Hi, thank you for your question, by mistake a listed the wrong transducer. What i was thinking is 165T-50/200-SS260 DFF3D 50/200 but is only stainless right? Then one of the 165T would make more sense.

I've attached one more picture. I will go to the boat factory end this week to have a look before I commission the boat

AIRMAR highly recommends that transducer installations on stepped hull vessels must be in front of the first step and be low and close to the keel as to operate properly. This stepped hull doesn’t leave you with a lot of options for a transducer installation that would prevent any type of aeration
