Just recently did a full electronic upgrade. Got a FCV 1150 with sat compass and
3kw 38bl-15hr And 2kw 200b-8b. Have attached a few pics of the install plus some screen shots. Just chasing some info on how to get better readings especially @300m plus.

Looks like a turbulence issue, how is the transducer mounted?

Maybe, but unlikely. Electrical interference won't create gaps in the bottom as your screen shots are showing. If you think it's electrical in nature it should appear at the dock also. Try setting the 1150 at a really deep range, turning the gain up and turning everything on i.e. engine(s), electronics etc. Below is a screen shot of what electrical noise looks like on a DFF1-UHD. This noise was traced to an alternator and we needed to add a capacitor to help suppress it. The gaps (clean sections) are when the capacitor is in the circuit. Also noted the interference in present through out the entire water column.
