Navionics Gold update problem

I have a 2005 vintage 1824C / GD-1920C, updated to Program # 195002304.01.06. I have recently purchased a new Navionics+ SD chart card (MSD/NAV+NI US117U1DXW1GZS) to replace the old chart in the system. When I attempt to start the system with the new chart, nothing happens ... the unit starts to hum, but there is no beep, and the system doesn't boot up. When I replace the new chart card with the old one, it boots up normally. Any thoughts about why the new card is not working? Thanks.

Counter to what Navionics has said, we have not found the Navionics plus cards to be compatible. You might talk to them about an exchange to a compatible GOLD card. You have the most current software in your machine so no issue there. Not all GOLD maps are compatible so make sure they provide you one that has XL9 type maps on it. Here are some of the numbers we have found compatible.
