anyway to do a master reset on a 711c ? three presses on the knob? While turning on ?

HOLD MENU while pressing knob three times quickly to get into the install setup. You will find a clear under system menu I believe. You can clear the processor but I normally don't recommend clearing the compass or you will need to recalibrate it.
