Yamaha Helm Master EX integration with TZT13X

Hello, I am doing a new install and want to use two TZT13X units but it appears that they will not integrate with the Yamaha Helm master ex for AUTO PILOT purposes. I understand that the TZT16F is compatible with Helm Master but I want to have the faster processing of the Furuno XL series for 3D etc. What is the best way to have a Furuno XL system that integrates with Helm Master EX.
Thanks

For approved Helm master EX integration with an MFD, you must have a HDMI port to display the provided HM EX video output. For the TZTXL series the TZT16x, TZTBBx, TZT22x, or TZT24x could be used as they all offer the required HDMI input. If an autopilot is needed the Yamaha proprietary pilot must be used which will work well with the TZTXL system.

Hello, Thanks for your quick reply....I was afraid only the tzt16F would work because on the yamaha side of things I could only find documentation (attached) for F series. Is there any documentation regarding interfacing TZTXL with Helm Master.
Many Thanks

TZXL meets the same requirements for this as TZT3. The newest version of XL also provides the optional Yamaha engine gauge layout so even the smaller XL can show the Yamaha layout without the HDMI input but to be "blessed" by Yamaha you must have an HDMI input so you can see the screen they provide. (looks exactly the same as of right now) They can change what they send over via HDMI any time they decide to change it. That is why they want you looking at the HDMI they provide.

Thank you for your information! I have a question about the transducers. Not sure if I should go to another thread.
We are planning on the 165T/275LHW-12p for 3D and Chirp(pocket mounted) Do we still need side scan?
We were thinking for side scan 455T-PR903(paired thru Hull)

On topic follow-up question to this thread: how does one select the aforementioned Yamaha engine gauge layout without the HDMI input? One of our boats has twin Yamaha outboards, Yamaha Helm Master Ex controls, a TZT22X, and the Yamaha N2K gateway (but not the HDMI gateway). I built a custom instrument page layout of gauges on the TZT22X, which works fine, but I think this thread implies there may be way to invoke a preset instruments page or something that mimics the Yamaha gauges. Or do I misunderstand?

I may have found the answer to my own question. According to this FAQ, specifically "Q12.COMP", it seems like the new TzTouchXLs no longer support the Yamaha layout that @Johnny Electron mentions (without the HDMI input). It suggests that was only supported on the Tztouch2 and TzTouch3. Only standard Furuno gauges are now supported on TzTouchXL.

Believe that has changed again as they were bringing back the Yamaha gauge set on XL and should show up if Yamaha is detected; as long as you have the newest version of software.

Ok, good to know! I'll look for that whenever the next software version is released. I have V25.21 (Oct 2025) on a TZT22X, which I think is the latest software, and am not seeing it as of today (I don't see it mentioned in the release notes yet either).
