FCV-588 vs 10" VX2 Sounder operation

Would i be gaining anything to switch From a 10" Vx2 with DFF1 attached to B260 to FCV-588? All I am using on the VX2 is the sounder so all other functions are not being used. The VX2 still works fine.

You would gain the accu-fish and bottom discrimination features. While nice, I am not sure that alone would be reason to upgrade. It would provide a stand alone sounder so the Vx2 could be free for sounder or something else.
