I just purchased a DRS4DNXT radar. I am going to install into my TZTouch 3. Will this work with out a heading sensor? I am planning on adding an Auto Pilot a little later. I just don't want to have to throw more money at this then I need. It seems like every time I get one thing, I need something else to make it work. It just never ends. Please advise what would be my best route to take.

yes it will work without heading sensor but radar overlay and other features will not work without heading sensor. you will need a scx20 sat compass etc.. Im using a point1 gps antenna on a small bay boat and it gives me radar overlay and target tracking. if your adding an auto pilot later then its Better to invest in a scx20 sat compass now! the pictures below are using my old point1 gps antenna.

Yes, that radar, MFD are a good combo. Add the scx-20 for overlay before or with the autopilot. You can buy the AP without heading sensor because the scx-20 is a big step up from the magnetic sensors.
