Disabling DHCP on TZ Touch3

I have a DFF3D and a DRS6AX radar scanner that I typically use through 2 independent PC's with TimeZero Pro in my wheelhouse. I find the PC/TimeZero software/32" monitors provides the best results for my application and therefore I do not have an MFD in my wheelhouse. However, I have recently installed a TZ Touch3 at my aft control station for easy reference while fishing, which is adhoc. I do not want to have to have the MFD running all of the time, but I am noticing network issues when it runs, which I believe is due to a DHCP server conflict that it creates while on the network. If I set the TZ Touch3 to a slave, I believe I will lose access to the charts installed on that device. Is there a way to disable the DHCP function on the TZ Touch3 while maintaining charts on it?

The Furuno TZT3 system doesn't work from a DHCP system. The displays and radars self assigned their own IP address. It sounds like you have an older CM radar with fixed IP designed to work with the Nobeltec? Normally TZT/TZT2/TZT3 the system would still use it. What item is conflicting with the radar IP address?

The radar and TZ Touch 3 that I have are both new in June 2020. I cannot pinpoint an example of a conflict. I do notice that the connection from TimeZero to the radar sometimes is impacted when the TZ unit is powered on or off. It was as much a concern about potentially having 2 dhcp servers on the LAN as opposed to a problem that I experienced.

Since my post, I opted to change my network configuration onboard to split the Furuno and Internet LAN's, thereby removing the router that was acting as a DHCP server from the Furuno LAN. I will use the system a bit more and update accordingly.

I did find one point of interest for WASSP users. I had the WASSP DRX connected to my PC via a dlink 8-port gigabit switch and TimeZero connected to the sounder but the WASSP software could not detect the sounder. I changed out the switch with a higher grade dlink 16-port gigabit switch and the issue went away, both TimeZero and the WASSP software could connect to the sounder.

Wassp is commercial item and generally not discussed here. The TZT3 and Wassp should not be on the same Ethernet. They should have diffrent networks. The TZT/TZt2/TZT3 don't use DHCP nor will be happy with something trying to conduct DHCP on the same network.
