I purchased a Dff1 UHD and want to connect it directly to TZ Professional loaded in a new Dell laptop. I was sent an LAN cable MOD-Z027-050+ to make this connection. This works fine on the sounder end but there is no provision on the laptop to accept an LAN cable. Is this the proper cord for this application or do I need to get an adaptor that will allow me to plug this one into one of the available computer ports?

The DFF1-UHD requires an Ethernet cable that's plugged into either a Router, Switch, Hub, or PC. If your PC doesn't currently have a Ethernet Port to use, then you'll need to purchase a USB to Ethernet Adapter to make the connection to the DFF1-UHD for your PC and TimeZero.
Amazon sells an inexpensive USB to Ethernet Adapter that will work for this application.
