The CL7 will allow engine data from your engines to our MFD. It does nothing to allow our data to your engines.

You say you do not want to run any form or Helm Master. "DES" was mentioned earlier.
What is your steering system? If it is Yamaha DES, that is the base for Helm Master EX.

If it is no form of Helm Master, is it hydraulic, Optimus or something else?

Maybe some photos of your helm controls (front and back) and drive systems would help us to identify what you have going on.

Hi , we are running the previous model 6X6 yamaha controls with the yamaha 425’s with electric steering.
With the new controls 6X9 that is level one of Helmmaster , from what I understand and have done with a different manufacturers AP as long as you use 6X6 controls you can use different manufacturer AP if using new 6X9 controls then has to be Yamaha AP.

So the fact I was able to use another AP with the 425’s on another boat I was hoping I could do the same with this install.
