Weather forecast not loading in my region on Navnet TZTouch XL 11, Please help

Hi all,

I’m the owner of a TZtouchXL 11” and I live in Europe (Spain). I wanted to try the free weather service in my region. I’m logged into my MyTimeZero account on the TZT, and the device is connected to the internet.

I’ve noticed that the free GPS-based weather forecast loads correctly in the U.S., but not in my region.

On the other hand, I’m using TZ iBoat on both my iPhone and iPad, and the weather updates work perfectly there without any issues.

I don’t understand why I can’t see the forecast directly on my TZT and have to rely on the iBoat app to access it.

Is there a setting I’m missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would recommend calling Furuno Spain because if there is an across the board issue they would be aware. I do know that if your unit was upgraded to version 25.11.2 (For Europe only) all internet functions have been disabled until the next software due to EU Red Cyber requirements that just went into effect.

thank you I will do that tomorrow morning and let you know. For nowI can tell you that I have version 25.11.1 not v2 as I suppose they have retired the version till they solve the issue you mentioned. I tried to upgrade to the version you mention and it sas I have the lastest one. Its weird as the app iboat updates my zone without any problems but not my tztouch

I decided to perform a factory reset on my unit. After the full reset, I restored all my settings using the backup configuration I had saved on a USB drive.

At first, everything seemed to be working fine — the internet connection came back, the weather data updated and downloaded correctly, and
I was even able to sync my marks through my My TimeZero account. So I thought the issue was finally solved.
However, the next day the problem returned: no internet connection either through mobile data or Wi-Fi (Harbor connection).

I contacted the Furuno team in Spain, and they told me the problem might be related to version 25.11.2, but I actually have 25.11.1. They replied that this version might have the same internet issue, but I don’t quite understand why the internet works temporarily right after a factory reset.

The only thing I can think of now is to reset the unit again and set it up manually from scratch without restoring the backup — do you think that could help?

Is anyone else in Europe experiencing the same problem?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a Furuno forum here in Europe or Spain, so this is the only place I can ask for help. 😅

Thanks a lot in advance!
