Updating vx2

i would like to bring my vx2 up to date so I can add AIS. Do I need to do this in steps or an I just download the latest software? The number from the unit is 195002401.6... Any and all help is appreciated ..thanks in advance Jim

It can be done in one step but you will need to get the software directly from Furuno. The software posted on the web site will not work for you. Please open an official support case or call tech support.

Ok I got the download from support, loaded the zip file on the 2g sd card and the vx2 would not load it. Do I need to extract the files first? Any help appreciated...

They should have provided basic instructions when they provided you the file.
You must UNZIP, open the folder and copy the three files directly onto the root of the SD card. The NavNet can not see files that are zipped or still inside a subfolder.
