Navnet VX2 LED or CCFL Backlit?

Hi,

I have a Navnet VX2 running CMAP.

Model Number - 4323-6004
Program - 195002404.02

From the software history page below it appears my unit should be LED backlit as the model number is later than 4323-5001. Which means my software version should have an * however it does not have an *. The Unit currently works fine however I would like to update it to the current version and want to know if I need 04.03, 07* or 04.03, 07? I am also struggling to locate the download link for the software?

Many Thanks!

Thanks agian.

You are only one version behind so unless there is a known problem you are trying to solve, maybe wait and have the service center update it when it is in for another service like a battery change. When is the last time you had the internal battery changed?

I’ve had the boat a year and have done it, I’m unsure when it was last done. The system check says it’s ok.
The reason for the update is I can’t get get it to show my AIS targets from my standard horizon vhf/ ais. It’s connected to port 2 and I have tried the various port setting. I read somewhere it may require an update.

Thanks again will

Unlikely the update is going to fix your AIS issue but dealers can sell you an software update kit for the Vx2, if you can't manage make your own. Any memory over 2GB in size CAN NOT be used to update the unit. Of course if your card reader has an issue, the unit likely should go back for repair evaluation. Per the manual battery replacement should be every3-5 years. We find it normally dies at 7-8 years. You don't want to wait till it fails because it will dump all your settings and user data. These units are aging well but they do need normal love and care.
