Can you tell me what the latest software update is on my 1870F chart plotter, and what the changes are? Will we ever be able to interface with the Wireless LAN in Canada? One reason for purchasing the 1870F was the Wireless LAN as advertised, Found out after purchase it was not approved for Canada. Has there been a change? Thanks. Cheers, trapper :furuno

In regards to using the wifi in Canada, I will ask Japan to make sure but I did find that the wi-fi module was approved. Who said you couldn't use it in Canada?

We have verified that you CAN use the GP1870F wifi in Canada. The wifi module is approved for Canada.View attachment 6081-001.pdf
Thanks you for that. I cannot seem to make it work, even the local Furuno dealer has not been able to put it together. The reason I asked was, in my original owners manual is states"not available in Canada" and not being able to make it work reinforced that statement. In checking on line now it is open up to Canada along with a few other countries, but was not available when I bought my unit when they first came out. Will try again. Cheers trapper
