Tzt3 dual outboard display

little bills

Have new tzt3 displays with dual Verados.. instrument display page for Dual Outboard has been performing properly reading and displaying data, but on turning on yesterday, it now displays “engine” and “engine 3” (reading my stbd motor). If I shift to quad display it reads and displays “engine 2” port motor data along with other three engines (three and four display blank data) Suggestions on issue and how to get “engine 2” data back on dual outboard panel?

It sounds like the data or device instance of the engine data was changed. You have two engine interface/gateways, correct? One should be setup for instance 0 and the other for instance 1. It seems as if something has moved the second engine over to instance 2 for some reason. If the instances are correct, then I would suggest running the "Engine & Tank automatic setup" under the Initial setup menu and see what happens.

Thanks for reply. No one uses boat/equipment except yours truly, so no manual changes made. Will investigate settings and/or reset as suggested. Stay tuned!

Reset as recommended. Problem resolved.

Happy Friday my friend, were you able to solve your problem? I ask you because I am going through something similar, I installed a gateway to be able to see the clocks on the GPS and now nothing comes up, could you help me?

Good morning Johnny Hope you're having a fantastic weekend, with twin yamahas do I need two gateways or itll work with one, I'm connecting it to the yamaha hub on my center console?

Most of the yamaha systems I have seen work from one gateway for passing the engine information but it must be properly setup to provide individual data instances for each engine or it will not work properly. One can't not have a gateway, or put one in without having it properly configured.

Thanks for your reply, my both yamaha outboard have a harnes connection from the motors to the yamaha busbar in the transom, them from it all the way to the center console busbar, in order to conect my gateway I have to disconnect my fuel gage otherwise I have no extra plug to conect it, if you could help please I will deeply appreciate you!!

Good morning Boss, appreciate it your reply, makes sense because I can only plug my gateway disconnecting my fuel gage from the Yamaha hub

That is Yamaha's bus not our but normally you disconnect an item and add the hub. Then the item you disconnected goes into the hub along with the new gateway. I recommend you speak with Yamaha support. They will know the exact part(s) you need.

Good afternoon, I already spoke to them and I got everything from them conect it , but furuno tzt3 is not responding to anything and is not giving me any options to like add engine or anything like that, it's just sad that I can't find out what's going on

If the gateway has been properly configured by your engine guy, it is very simple on the TZT3 side. Ensure your engine system is on with the active TZT3 and go under HOME - SETTINGS - INITIAL SETUP and hit "Engine and Tank AUTOMATIC setup". Once you have done that go to your hotpage screen and make a full page instrument screen and check what it shows. If not working then it sounds like the engine guy didn't setup the gateway. You can always make tech support a recording of what the NavNet is seeing on the 2000 bus by recording about 20 mins of bus traffic to a USB stick. They can look at the data and see if the gateway is putting out data or not.
