Transducer and fairing Installation

Hope someone chimes in on this : aside from the obvious contact locations, does the verticle side gap between the bronze ducer and the fairing pocket need to be filled with sealant or left open? 165T-B54 for the DFF3D Thanks

In addition to the areas in red in the image below, you will want to fill the gaps around the ducer to reduce any turbulence that could cause problems.
