Thruhull transducer for a VX2 system

I recently purchased an older NAVNET VX2 system to install on my boat while out of the water for maintenance which came with a transom mount Airmar P66 transducer however my preference is for a thru hull type so wondering about the Airmar B744? Any others I might consider?

Btw, I am hardly overflowing with surplus cash like many boat owners and need to stay on a tight budget so hoping for not more that $250 for one.

ETR-6/10N is called the BBFF1 here in the USA. P66 is a good pair for it. B744v would work about the same as the P66 but it is a thru hull instead of transom. Best if your boat accommodates it is the diplexed B260 (526TID-HDD). If the hull isn't stepped and you can get a transom mount installed well, the P66 has a lot of bang for the buck.

I want a thru hull...my boat is a slow speed trawler and already has the block to mount one. I am not thrilled with the bottom trace showing where I have already been as opposed to what water I have under the hull at the moment even if is only a 20' difference.

I also want to ask if noise from a propeller would interfere with the signal sent from and received by the transducer?

Normally noise isn't an issue but water turbulence can be. If trying to keep the cost down and go with a thru-hull the B774V is a good option.

That transducer was the one I was leaning towards for cost and I can get a never installed one for $250 on eBay however I might try the transom out transducer I have although then it means another haul out to put in the through-hole if I don't like the result
