Greetings to everyone. This is the first furuno device I have and I am having problems. The transcuder does not read the bottom structure and data of the sea. We couldn't find the reason and we think it's a software error, please help.
(Transmission is on)

Double check that the correct transducer is selected in the Home-Settings-Fish Finder-Transducer, Current Transducer should be set to "TM185M". Also, swipe up from the bottom and select Mode: "Single Frequency". Touch the gear icon in the lower left and turn OFF auto range and choose Manual gain. Pinch outward (fingers away from each other) to lower the range scale to about twice the depth you are currently in (i.e. if in 10ft, set range from 0-20). Then use the manual gain adjustment (gear icon) and see if a main bang will show across the top of the screen, a bottom displayed, and/or noise on the screen.

First of all, my English is not very good, sorry. I don't have access to the device at the moment. I've tried what you said before, but I didn't get a result. When the converter is connected and not connected, a top-down interference image appears.

Hey Johnny,
In the previous photos, the boat was in the water. I made the update of the device yesterday, but I haven't tried it in water yet.

No at first that transducer wasn't supported and then when they added it the first time I believe it had an issue. If running the newest Furuno software, I would expect it to work for you. Great that you managed the update. Let us know how it goes.

Hey Johnny,

I am currently at sea and there is no change in furuno at all. Again, a white screen , how can we communicate faster for this problem?

You seem to be located in Turkey. It would be recommended to contact your local distributor technical support. At this point if still having difficulties either the sounder or transducer should be tested. Many dealers have the Airmar TDT-1000 that can test the transducer. If you have selected the correct transducer in the setup and running the newest software, it should be working. It sounds like the transducer or sounder might have a problem and should be tested.

because I bought the devices from America, the local distributor is not willing to help and does not count them under warranty. While I was at sea yesterday, I tested the converter with another 1971f device, it works, then we attached my device, the 1871f, to another Tm185 mirror, and we couldn't get an image again. the problem is definitely with the 1871f device. If you wish, I can send the video from the mail. Now I don't know how to solve the Furuno's problem .

Nice troubleshooting. Now that you are sure it is the device, it should be sent into the service center for repair evaluation. Send the unit to:

Furuno Service
4400 NW Pacific Rim Blvd
Camas WA 98671

Include your contact information and the problem with the unit. Because it is a gray market export, it must be returned to the USA for service.
