Smart Search Database not present?

I'm trying to download the smart search database. I get this message when choosing smart search from the menu; "Smart Search database is not present. Its size is 41.7 MB. Click here to start the download."

Clicking here does nothing. I have stable internet on the boat, software is up to date, logged into my Time Zero account, and have TZ Maps installed and up to date. I feel like I'm missing something very simple. Any and all help appreciated.

Edit to add...I do have all the smart search data on my Ipad through TZ Iboat. 2nd edit, this is a new tztxl based system, 2 tztx16's and assorted extras.

I may have figured it out with these instructions:

2. Set Up Favorite Areas for Auto-Update
Smart Search data is often tied to the specific regions you have designated for automatic updates.

1. Connect your TZTXL to a stable Wi-Fi network.
2. Go to Home > Charts > TZ MAPS > Update.
3. Tap on the map grid cells for your local area to mark them as Favorite Areas.
4. Once selected, the unit will begin downloading the latest data for those cells, which includes the searchable POI database.
