Simrad /Furuno rudder RRU

Removing an Simrad ap11 and installing a Furuno 711c are the simrad and furuno rudder sensors the same size? Only difficult part of the install ( i hope) Have a touch 2 MFD any install tips from the pros? do have a NEMA 2000 backbone installed. Thanks

Most Simrad RRUs will not work because they are frequency based reference units. Furuno like many others works off of a resistive based RRU. You can check but the Simrad most likely will not work. If it is resistive based it should but most are not. The pilots are pretty easy to install and we have knowledgeable techs in support if you have any questions along the way.
