Running 1 Txducer w/ 2 sounders?

Is it possible to run 1 Txducer w 2 sounders??

I am installing a R-509LHW and want to know if it can be run off the DFF3 and my DFF1-UHD in a switchable format? Not at the same time, but able to go back and forth through the MFD.

Even though the DFF1-UHD is only 1kw, perhaps it can take advantage of the chirp capable R-509 when desired...granted only at 1kw.

Thanks

Moonzy1,
If you use a transducer switch you can do it. Meaning the transducer will only be connected to either the DFF3 or UHD.

Moonzy1,
Since there is really no current involved most high quality toggle switches will work. Make sure it's an on/on switch instead of an on/off/on. Be sure to switch both wires and the shield on both LF and HF channels.

This is interesting.
So from the R-509LH im going to run the wire to the switch. On the sounder side, I am going to run 2 sets of wires L and H Fq to each sounder.

No issue w impedance here adding a simple switch and additional wire?

Thank so much
This could be a great solution.

Moonzy1,
I am assuming you are only going to need 10-15ft from the switch to each sounder module, correct? Short runs are not a problem, sometimes it possible to use excess transducer cable for short extensions.
