RD 33 Firmware Update

My RD 33 was build in 2011 and seems to have a very old Firmware. If I got it Right it is 1.03, which isnt even listed in the Software history.

Of Course I want to update the unit, but cannot find any d/l link.

Where can I get the files needed??

The NavNet Sensor update posted at Furuno Japan's website should update it as long as you have a TZT or TZT2 to use for programming it.

Johnny, thank you. And Maybe I am blind but i cannot find any file for the RD33. Also downloaded the sensor update file but rd33 isnt in there?!

Disregard, should be in the package, at least it is listed in Software history

Well, it didnt work.

1. I downloaded the package and looked into the files. A lot of Instruments/Radars were listed, but not the RD33.

2. Proceeded anyway Right after te instructions. Update launcher initialized as it should, but only the nmea2if converter were detected,, Nothing elso, no RD33 and even not my FI70 Instruments or all the other stuff.

3, OK; then at least let have the converter an update so I selected ist but that also didnt work because the update files werent found.

Very strange….Of Course my Network works perfect and all Units showing up at the TZT9 menu, but the update Programm sees no Nothing.

Any hint?

I am not having any luck getting the sensor type software from Japan. You might try asking your distributor. Maybe the more people asking will provide something. The Furuno USA repair center could program it if you wanted to send it in to them. They use a PC with Kvaser interface.
