20141009_141838.jpgI have 2 TZ 14 with Garmen auto pilot. I have electronic compass all in the NEMA 2000 loop. When using radar over lay the radar and the chart are not matching up. I've done numerous calibrations and heading alignments.. The compass and headings are close and auto pilot works fine. I followed a boat the other day and the radar showed he went left of markers but in reality he went right through center. There is no chart alignment setting. Not sure whats up. Worked spot on with my old Nav Nets..Notice in pic.how far left the radar is marking the ICW markers.

Based on the photo it appears that either the radar heading alignment is off or the heading compass (from the auto pilot) is. Run the boat on a straight course and ensure that you boat's steering compass, GPS COG, and your heading data all read roughly the same (within a degree or two of each other). If they do, then it appears your radar video isn't aligned with the bow of the boat. If not, I wager that it is your heading that isn't matching the COG and steering compass.

Done all of that. Heading alignment, and recalibrated ..Compass and heading are within a couple degrees. Even tried radar offset.

Then the only other thing that it could be is your chart scale. You should ensure that the range number is not RED. If that is red, it is telling you that your map scale is over-zoomed or under-zoomed to the point the chart will not be to scale. This happens more with Raster charts because the unit can't re-scale the chart, but still happen with vector charts too.

I am aware of that..made sure all pics are not in overzoom. Sent to Furuno service. No answer..

They normally take 7 to 10 business days once they get the item.
Have you asked Garmin if the have any NMEA 2000 Sentence issues or any software updates? Are you using any converters between Autopilot and NMEA 2000?

No converters. Latest software updates for Garmin. All heading readouts match on radar, auto pilot, and magnetic compass. I have adj. Heading alignment to almost 1 degree to get map closer.
