Hi Forum. I'm about to upgrade a system with non-touch to touch displays. Distance from displays to black box is approximately 5m which I believe is the limit of USB 2.0 specification. Any practical advice on the limit ? Do I need active signaling at this length ? I learned that up to USB 3 is host-device configured to prevent two devices from trying to power a cable. I remember blockers to prevent this, but I would prefer as few connections as possible so is it suggested to get Type A-Type A cable ( assuming touch display has the same Type A port ) and if so how do I prevent both units from sending 5V to cable ?
