Port View missing problem

I am using DFF3D with TimeZero. It seems I've been missing the port view all along,as shown in the section view and PBG. On the multisounder display, the bottom response of the Port view has also been much weaker than that of the other two all along.
I grounded it as required during installation, and the display has been free of noise all the while.
Is it due to the settings, or a hardware issue?

in the PBG, the depth data for the port side is significantly missing

Although the port side has consistently shown abnormal weak bottom responses, the screenshot below proves that it can indeed detect fish schools on the left side as well.

looking forward to any reply. Thanks in advance.

What has TimeZero support folks said about why the software is doing that? Is there a gain offset that needs to be adjusted in the software? If it were me I would check the transducer face for any marine growth and maybe sweep the transducer with the TDT1000 to check the elements.
Hi Johnny,
Thank you for the prompt and helpful suggestions. I appreciate you taking the time to look into this.
TimeZero support folks said two possible reasons: one is gain setting, the other might also be due to "shading", possibly caused by the boat hull blocking the view of the bottom. But my gain setting is normal and there are no obstructions present.

In PBG, depth points on the port side are considerably less. This confuses me a lot. The bottom detection on the port side still works, though weaker, and it can also detect fish schools, so why are the depth points considerably lacking in PBG?

Do you have photos of the bottom of the hull and transducer placement because hull shading could definitely cause that.
hillman,

Can you invert the transducer to see if that weak side of the return follows..?

I can confirm with absolute certainty that there is no shading and the transducer is installed correctly. Six months ago, during my first installation on a speedboat with a pole mount, I fitted it backwards. The recorded data at that time showed a weak bottom return on the starboard side. And in the PBG, there was also a significant lack of depth data on the starboard side.

hillman,

Thanks for this information. It appears that the port-side transducer elements do not appear to be operating correctly. Inspection of the transducer by a Furuno dealer is recommended.
