Navnet vx2 transducer

Hey

I was chasing some information on transducers

We are currently building a 8.1m plate boat

I have two furuno navnet vx2 sounders to fit

Can you suggest a transducer that is compatible with the vx2 and also the tz2 touch?

I plan to upgrade in a year or two once the boats finished and on the water and don't want to have to swap transducers

We were planning on going through hull for the transducer to keep it off the transom

Hello,

Just wondering if there is a smaller transducer you would recommend?

As this will be on a trailer boat, being 560mm long it will hit the back of the trailer.

Is it possible to use wirhout the fairing block?
Or could we custom make a smaller version of the block?

When you say the transducer will hit the trailer, do you a bunk/roller or a cross member?

The supports for my boat on the trailer run across the boat not lengthways along it.
I have about 300mm at the back of the hull where I can fit a thru hull but not quite enough room for the full 560 of the fairing block

If it is a cross member, what is the possibility of adding risers to your bunks to get a couple of extra inches of clearance? I have seen a few custom fairings but the one that comes with the B-260 works the best over all.

On the trailer,

The rear support on the trailer will end up in the middle of the transducer.
To change that would mean cutting out and redesigning the rear half of the trailer.
250-300mm is really the most I have to work with without it becoming a huge job
