Will the RDP-149 accept AIS sentences from my new Standard Horizon GX2100 AIS VHF radio via NMEA?

Yes it should.
You will need to make sure you have updated software in the vx2, (1.08 or higher) and you will need a 6 pin data cable from Furuno (part # 000-154-054).
Baud rate must be set to 38400bps.
There is actually a wiring diagram of the Standard Horizon website showing the connection to the NavNet vx2.
