Navigator vs Professional

I’m looking to upgrade the charting side of my system and could use some guidance from the group.
Current setup:
TZT3 (x2)
  • Furuno radar
  • Two Airmar transducers (HW + MW)
  • Spare PC and laptop available for a TimeZero install
My main priority is better high‑resolution fishing bathymetry. I’m also considering using the PC to display radar and/or sounder data from the TZT3 network.
I’m looking at TIMEZERO Navigator vs Professional, and I’m trying to confirm one thing:
  1. Are the charts themselves (TZ MAPS, bathy layers, etc.) the same between Navigator and Pro, or is there a difference in chart quality or detail?
  2. Can my existing HW and MW transducers be used to generate PBG (Personal Bathymetric Generator) data?
  3. Is PBG included in Pro, or is it an additional module that needs to be purchased separately?
  4. Any insight from folks running TZ with a TZT3 system would be appreciated.

The TZMAPs which go with current versions of Timezero nav or pro are like what go with the TZTouchXL It's a big step up compared to tzt3.
If you later get a TZtouchXL you can use the PC charts without having to repurchase them. It does not go the other way (PC can't borrow the mfd's charts)

2,3 you need Pro, TZMAPs, Radar module, PBG module. It will get depth and position data from your MFD which is what connects to the transducer.
4 They are made to work together and share instruments like radar nicely. Navigator is more easy-use. Pro has more capabilities... If you like the Furuno MFD but wish it could do a few more things, perhaps TZ Pro software on a PC will scratch that itch. You can sign up on the mytimezero support site and read the reference manual if you want to understand its features. To preview the TZMAPs charts, try the tz iview app on an apple device.
