I am upgrading my vintage 2004 NavNet black box setup. In addition to the black box I currently run TimeZero Professional with PBG. I fish in Alaska for mainly salmon from 100-500+ feet. I would like to get Accufish, Bottom Discrimination, and DFF3D. I will be performing the installation myself so the transducers need to be thru-hull. The boat is 37’ semi displacement with a full keel. Normal cruise is 7.5-8.5 knots.
1. Is the 165T-B54 the best transducer for DFF3D? I did not see a thru-hull combo transducer that would provide the Accufish, BD, or Chirp.
2. Is the 526TID-HDD the best thru-hull transducer for the Accufish and BD?
3. Would chirp be of any benefit to the above setup?
4. If I were to add a single chirp frequency what are your recommendations?
