Model 1940 shuts down when TX pressed

We have a model 1940. It powers up and the array spins. Once it gets to stand by mode, I push TX and everything shuts down. At that point it won’t power up again unless I flip the breaker off and back on. Any thoughts on the problem?

It sounds like a short caused by blown FETs on the modulator board as the board tries to develop high voltage after going to transmit. It would need to be evaluated for repair to know for sure.
