Missing 3D views?

Anyone had this problem I have the MFD 12 and I’m not able to use the overlay function IE Radar with GPS view. I also have not been able to get the 3D Google view to work. I spoke to the rep at the Fred Hall show last month and he said it is a setting on the PG 500 heading sensor not refreshing quickly enough. He told me to call support next time I’m on the boat to have them walk me through the setup. Not able to get free during the week to contact support. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Heading required for radar overlay and ARPA features of the NN3D are explained on page 70 of the Installation guide. Here is a link to the guide if you need it.

Since the PG500 defaults to 200ms, and the faster 100ms is required by the NN3D system; you must change the PG500 update rate to 100ms. This is done by changing the output data of the PG500 to 100ms. (PG500 manual para. 3.5) Here is a link to the PG500 manual if you need it. http://www.furunousa.com/ProductDocumen ... -13-04.pdf
Once you have wired and setup the PG500 heading to your NN3D it is just a matter of ensuring the radar is in transmit first before attempting to select the overlay. I didn't understand what you are doing with google but if you still have problems, please let us know.

Thanks very much I'll get a chance to update it this weekend.

Don’t forget to make sure that Aerial Bathymetry is turned on.
It is located on the first chart menu page. If the box is grey you won’t see 3D contours in the aerial view so click it to green.
