MFD8 software update 2.11~>2.13

Hello. I took my old NavNet 3d MFD8 device off the shelf. I want to update it to the latest software version.

1. I downloaded the file "MFD8-12 1950055 0213" and wrote it to an SD card (FAT system - 1 gigabyte)
2. Following the instructions, I inserted the card into the top slot and turned on the device. I made two confirmations. The device loaded.
3. The device's properties still display version 1950055-02.11
4. I also tried with a FAT32 system SD card. I also tried with the "MFD8 MFD12 v.02.13" file that I downloaded from the same place.
I didn't understand which one was correct or why there were two.


In any case, after all attempts, the version number remains in the properties of my device ....2.11

What should I change in my actions to update the software?
Should I install a intermediate version of the program before upgrading from 2.11 to 2.13? If so, which one?

I used the algorithm specified in this instruction.

I also tried a video instruction from YouTube.

They differ in small details. But there is no effect.

Sounds like you are attempting to use a very large SD card. You can not use anything larger than a 32GB chip and it must be done via a PC not a MAC/Apple.

I'm using a 1-gigabyte card! I mentioned this in my message. The card was prepared on a Windows PC.

The files look good if that is shown right on the root. I see for some reason we have two (2.13) software updates posted. You might try the other one but they appear to be the same. My suggestion would be to back up any points/data and then factory clear the unit before programming then hopefully the update will take. I would say it doesn't like the media you are using but it did prompt you and seem to go through the process. I think a factory reset is the next step.

There is no data on the device that I need to save. The device is brand new. It has not been used since it was purchased in 2015.

I did the update process again. Before that, I reset the settings to factory defaults
Unfortunately, after restarting, the program's version remained 2.11

Yes very odd. If you can't get it you can always send it in for a free coursey software update at our service center (will only need to pay for return shipping).
