While underway my gps heading keeps changing, back and forth. Also on start up, gps info is sometimes blank. When i restart it, it usually comes up. Installed a new antenna last season, and all worked fine, until now.

Heading data and COG from the GPS are not the same. I would start be checking what the GLOBAL data sources are setup for in the installation wizard. It sounds like your GPS is being delayed on power up because you have the wrong primary source selected. If you heading is shifting, you will need to find your heading device and check the data being provided. It could be that you someone has incorrectly setup the wizard heading check marks. It is important to check mark heading input data only if you really have data being input on that port.

Sounds like the unit is sensing some sort of input. I would remove anything connected to the USB port. I would recommend you have the newest available software. If that doesn't work, I would back up all settings and user data and factory clear the machine. If still having the issue, I would reprogram the machine. Lastly, if still there; send the unit in for repair evaluation.

I replaced the old antenna with a new gp330 last summer, could or would that cause these symptoms? It was working fine, until recently.

If the 2000 network isn't good.. maybe, but I haven't seen that before. I would recommend you contact technical support while you are on the boat to do some in depth troubleshooting.
