I'm looking to buy an 1835 and would like to record some of the radar images to my PC. What would the easest way to do this? Would the Fax 30 work with the 1835? Would the images be in color?

The1835 is great quality, color, LCD radar. You cannot use the 1835 as a plotter/weather fax or as general display screen. It is a standalone radar. If you wish to use the FAX30 unit, it could be accessed directly with a PC or it could be networked into one of our NavNet multifunctional network systems.

The 1835 can not record images or do screen captures. You would have to use a digital camera or similar device to capture you photos.

I can capture vga output,hdmi, the camera idea works but was hoping for something better. Is there a furuma radar sytem I should look that can be captured over time. Thanks for you help!

You might consider a NavNet 3D unit with radar connected or the newly announced NavNet TZ Touch unit with radar. Both of these systems offer a DVI-D output.
