Is this CHIRP or CW when you set the Manual CHIRP Frequency to 210 on 175H

I thought that if you have a B175H, set the frequency to 210, that is still considered Chirp? Comparing that to the B164, which is locked in 200, is traditional (CW).
In Furuno menu set up, we can select (Auto) “Manual CHIRP” or CW (Fixed Frequency).

From TZT3 Menu
Select [Auto], [FM (Manual CHIRP)], or [CW (Fixed Frequency)] as appropriate. [Auto] automatically adjusts CHIRP center frequency and frequency bandwidth according to the depth. For [Auto], go to step 12. For [FM (Manual CHIRP)] or [CW (Fixed Frequency)] go to step 8. 8. Tap [Center Frequency HF] or [Center Frequency LF] to show the software k

From AIRMAR
“When the B175H transducer is set to a specific frequency, it's still operating in a CHIRP mode, but within a pre-defined CHIRP range. The B175H transmits multiple frequencies at once, sending a continuous sweep of frequencies within a certain range. You can choose a specific frequency within that range (e.g., 165 kHz) as a preset, but it will still be transmitting a chirp within that range. The B175H operates within a higher frequency range (150-250 kHz), making it ideal for shallow water and fish-target separation, according to Airmar Technology Corporation.

Option one is Auto CHIRP, that allows the machine to do what it wants.
Option two is FM (Manual CHIRP). Here you set the center frequency and bandwidth, so it's still chirping. That's the only way to force it to chirp all the time.
Option three is CW (Fixed Frequency). This is how you stop CHIRP. Here you set the frequency with no bandwidth.

AHH Man, that leads me to more questions :) - thank you for responding.

Auto CHIRP- 150 to 250 kHz .
Does that mean 200 is the center and it spans the whole 100 kHz range?
Manual CHIRP-
If I sent the 160 kHz as the center, what range is used?
CW (Fixed Frequency)
Could I set to 160 and it would be locked in at 160 ?

Auto - Yes, as long as the range is able to be covered by the transceiver of the fish finder.
Manual - After settings frequency you can also set the CHIRP Width for each channel. That is what it will use.
CW - Yes.

FishTeck just so I understand what you said , assuming i have a TZT10xl with a 175 H. If i want it to run at 210 hz only i go into the menu and select a CW transducer then select 210hz?

Good question! No.
You keep your transducer set as the proper B175H.
FURUNO/HOME - Settings - Fish Finder - Fish Finder Initial Setup - Preset Frequency Setup
You have three options here as listed above. Once configured the way you want, it is quick and easy to switch between them.
On the Fish Finder display simply swipe up and choose the preset you want to use.

6.19 in the TZTXL Operator's Manual covers it.
