How deep does BDM work? (tzt2-12 w/ 526TID)

Hi,
Upgrading to the new tzt2-12 and hoping the B260 will be able to provide bottom discrimination to 100-130 fathoms. I will be using the unit to fish halibut and rockfish off of Washington along the edge of the continental shelf.

Any manual settings that help would also be great.

Thanks!

Bottom Discrimination is effective from 16ft to 325ft, after that the beam angles spread out too far to be useful for the machine to use B.D.

Thank you for the response. Are the depths quoted above for the transducer I asked about (526TID)?

Yes that is just for the BDM and that applies to all BDM compatible transducers. The transducer/sounder will operate much lower than that (best case about 3000 ft) but BDM has a limited range of functionality.
