Furuno has PC serial cables for different units. It sounds like you got a cable wired for a GP1650/GP1850 which looks the same as the NavNet cable; but it is wired differently.
Both Navionics and C-Map have depleted their stocks of available blank memory cards of this older type.
Furuno has a newer type memory card that can be used in the unit, if your software is up to date. BUT…it isn’t cheap. They are in limited supply and designed for one of our commercial radar units. (P/N 000-148-719 $350 list)
