Help with FCV-588 to use the transducer 520-5PSD

Good morning, everybody
I have a machine FCV-588 that uses transducer type 520-5PSD probe mounted on a small passenger boat running in the river, when it runs under 7 knots it works well but when running more than 7 knots, the machine can't measure the depth. I cut the probe cable and extended it by about 20 meters. Please give your comments and how to solve it
Thanks everybody

Truonghoangvu,
If the 588's performance degrades as the vessel speed increases you most likely don't have a smooth flow of water going over the face of the transducer. The 520-5PSD doesn't come with a fairing block so it is going to be prone to turbulence at certain speeds. The quickest way to tell if you have a turbulence issue is to run the sounder using both frequencies. As the vessels speed increases you will start to see noise and gaps in the bottom on 50Khz first and as the vessels speed further increases this noise and gaps with start to appear on the 200Khz side. Sorry to say there is no setting in the sounder that will help if you are having a turbulence issue.
