Help! SCX-20 Heave compensation not working on TZT Touch XL 10x so PBG not correct.

Keep in mind that heaving is the movement up and down and heaving compensation does little for pitch and roll. If you are a smaller boat then about the only thing what will assist with pitch and roll problems is a stabilizer like a "SeaKeeper". If you are experiencing Pitch and roll as a small boat it is pretty normal. Most would be very proud of the soundings you are getting. To add a Seakeeper it likely to cost you but that would likely be the next best step to help compensate.

thanks @Deep Blue, any recomendartion on how to calibrate those degrees? I´çve used the roll to calibrate better the section view but I didn´t imagine that this was for reducing the wavy effect on the seabed.

Discreet,

I would only make slight adjustments at a time to the pitch and roll (using positive or negative increments) with the SCX20. Keep in mind that this may or may not work for smaller vessels, but I certainly think it’s worth trying.

Thanks so much @Deep Blue and @Sparky Wire for your cvomments. I weanted to ask you something. where do I need to play with those adjustments as I can modyfy offset of those things in two places. ( Inside the menu of the SCX -20) where you configure satellites too or inside the transducer setup where you select the motion sensor SC X 20 below you have also pitch and roll offset. Attached to captures to show you . One of the transducer setup and another one showing the manual of the scx20 showing the section inside config of SCX 20.

thanks in advance!

The offsets are to adjust when the SCX20 is not mounted exactly flat. So if it is pitched 5 degrees, you would put that offset in to compensate. When it comes to the DFF3D you will either us the imbedded pitch/roll sensor mounted in the transducer OR the SAT Compass pitch/roll sensor.

Hi @sparkywire. thanks for letting me know this is what I understood at the beginning. I´ve used the roll offset inside the configuration menu of the SCX 20 to compensate a 3 degree position on the installation of my SCX 20. to make sure all looks good in the multifunction display furuno. But after talking in that thread I understood that maybe touching the roll and the pitch offset I could maybe avoud a little the effect on the sounder? in my case the Pitch degree offset inside the config of SCX 20 seems 0. how can I make sure this is correct? and regarding the offset inside the menu of the transucer I ´ve atrtached on my previous message is this the same as the one in the config of the menu of the SCX 20? It sould I suppose but I think its not. In that case it´s diferent should I put the same values?

Another think I don´t understand is this that is on the website of furuno in the SCX 20 page. if that is not possible why they put this? in my case it´s not working if not I shoudn´t see the image I´m attaching as it´s not compensating it
