GP-1871F chart follow vessel?

Please tell me how to set the 1871 so that the chart moves automatically as the vessel icon moves.
At the moment, I have to advance the chart manually - using touch and drag - as the vessel moves along.

The unit has two modes. After you hit the "Center Icon" it will be locked on to the boat which will stay centered on the screen and the map will move below the boat as you move. The second mode is what I call browse mode. This is so you can move around the screen and look at other locations. (say..maybe grandma's house) Once you touch the screen and move it to browse around it is in browse mode. The boat will no longer stay in the middle (because you have told the machine you want to browse). If you want to return to boat mode; hit the "Center Icon" and return to boat mode and don't browse around without hitting it back to boat mode.
