Furuno RDP-149

Quick question regarding the software for a furuno rdp-149 10.4". The setup I have is currently on version 1.04, and the most recent is 4.03. I am having trouble getting it updated, as the unit will not read the software on the SD card. I was told that you need to step-wise update to 1.08 then you can jump to 4.03. I contacted furuno asking for the previous software as it is not available on their website, still no response.

I was curious if there are any other places I can get the previous versions or if anyone has a six to jump from 1.04 to 4.03? Thanks in advance for any help!

It is peak season so official support cases take a little longer but they will answer it. There isn't any place online you can get the older versions. If not done properly using some of the older versions can mess up a unit. The software can be provided by Furuno via an official support case or talking to them by phone and having them e-mail it to you. It is given out case by case so that you get exactly what you need. You are in the right channel. If you truly have 1.04 then the software dates to early 2005 and been put off for over 10 years.

Do you have the full program number from your unit?
Many times people confuse the boot loader version in with the software version and they really have something entirely different than they think.

Your unit is C-Map 1.04 with boot loader 01.

It will require that you update the unit with 1.06 C-map software and then upgrade it again with 4.03 conversion software. If you don't get a reply soon to your support case, please PM me the case number.
