FCV1150 Scx20

Hey guys, I’m upgrading the bottom machine of my boat to the 1150. I would like to integrate my SCX 20 to it. Currently the SCX 20 is on the Nema 2000 backbone running two TZ touch 3’s and the auto pilot. I would like to use this on the 1150 for heave compensation , what do I need to integrate these two together. And any insight on how to do it would be great. Thanks.

You would want to get the Furuno IF-NMEA2k2 NMEA 2000/0183 converter. It would be placed onto your existing NMEA 2000 bus to take the SCX20 heading data into needed 0183 NMEA for the FCV1150. It needs to be the Furuno converter because while NMEA has a PGN for heaving, 0183 doesn't have an equivalent sentence. The converter will put out a proprietary pitch/roll/heaving information that can be used by the FCV1150.
