FCV 585 and FCV 295 upgrade

Hi Snips,

I would like to upgrade my sounder to the FCV 295 from my current model FCV 585.

My transducer is TM260, will the FCV 295 work with this transducer as current setup has a Furuno plug on transducer cable which will need to be cut off.

Lukahill,
In theory you could, but only on one frequency. Since the FCV-585 uses a diplexed (two wire) transducer it is not recommended to use it with the FCV-295 which uses a non-diplexed (four wire).
