Transducer compatibility for fcv 295

Hi I have a transducer off my old Furuno sounder airmar tm185hw with a plug on it.
P/N 41-936-1-01 will it be as easy as cutting the plug off and hard wiring it to HF on the 295 ?
I already have a 82b 35r for LF.

You can do that. The wire colors are as follows: Blue = HF+ and Black = HF-. If connecting temperature wires to external temp port, White is temp+ and brown is temp -. The HF tap should be set to A.

Please note that the FCV295 is not a chirp fish finder, so you'll need to select a frequency in its range of 150-250. Also, the frequencies from 171-183 cannot be used due to noise (aka Chirp Frequency Lockout).
