FCV-1150 Tap settings & tuning for tuna

I commercial fish tuna on a 56ft steel boat and have been using the FCV-1150 with Furuno transducer 50/200 1T. First question is confirming tap settings. Do I use tap settings on transducer settings window? Second question, my screen seems to have the same clutter or interference on HF and LF. Haven’t been able to tune for tuna fishing like it was in the past. Not sure if I’m having a transducer failure. Thanks for any help!

Looks like interference attenuated near the surface by short range STC/time value settings.
You literally have to re-arrange wires in the back of the machine to adjust the taps then select the transducer in the menus. It might be good to employ a skilled dealer.
