I have a r399 mounted in the hull and would like to kown the proper tap settings for 38 and 150 kzs. The tag on the airmar wire says to use tap D for the low and tap D for the high . Information the came with the 1150 shows tap A and C.

Does the power to the transducer increase as you move from A to E ( E being the more power)?

Thank you

Tony

Waterproof,
Technically you can use a "D" tap setting when using 28Khz and 150Khz but know that the FCV-1150 needs to be re-tapped to "C" if you are using 38Khz and "A" if you plan to use 200Khz. Since we have had customers damage transducers from the wrong tap settings we choose to list the lower of the two settings.
